Tuesday’s performance at Local 269 in NYC, was COB’s second return to the stage this year. And what an interesting night it turned out to be!
Let me say this. You know that NYC has changed for the better, when you can leave equipment
unattended, for ten whole minutes, on a busy street, and come back to find it just where you left it. Ahhh, a change is coming.
Tommy Casanova had the scare of his life when he noticed that his bass guitar was left sitting on the stoop of his building, as he was fetching the vehicle. Luckily, the bass waited patiently, and unnoticed, for COB’s return.
Later that evening, COB was plagued with technical issues. Vincent’s laptop crashed, causing his synthesizer to follow suite. Plan B was put into effect immediately, which was the use of a prepared CD containing the entire 45 minute set. That plan was almost scrapped due to the establishment not having a CD player. I mean WTF!!!
The plan was salvaged when the events’ organizer Dave Crespo, of UnRegular Radio, stepped in with his laptop. In the end, COB’s performance went off without a hitch.
A warm thank you to Dave, Alex, Susan, Eric and Patrick.
